Flagship is currently seeking an equity partner to co-invest and grow Sydney’s original charter agency business, that has been successfully operating since 1982.
In 2018, Australian Cruise Group (ACG) acquired Flagship with the view to expand the business. ACG is Sydney’s premier cruise operator that owns and operates many popular cruises including Sydney Showboat, Magistic Cruises and Clearview Cruises. ACG has carried in excess of 7 million passengers over 34 years and is considered the industry leader in cruising across Australia.
ACG has prominent retail exposure at King Street Wharf, state of the art technology and a highly skilled digital sales team to compliment the growth of Flagship into a national business.
Recent strategic review has identified the following key findings to expand this business and achieve a high-growth trajectory.
- Operate Flagship independently to build and expand nationally
- Find a co-investor with substantial experience and relationships in event sales
- Allow the co-investor to independently manage this business with the zest of a small business owner
- Flagship to expand by leveraging the core competencies of ACG including technology and substantial back of house resources
